On Saturday, June 1, 2019, the Sanderson Field RC Flyers(SFRCF) held their third annual Winter Build Challenge(WBC) at Sanderson Field, Shelton, WA. The event was very well attended.
Jody Diaz was the event coordinator—but the whole Diaz family pitched in to make the event a success.
I brought my Super Duper Joy Stick, kitted by Bruce Tharpe Engineering. I was fortunate to have Bruce Tharpe pilot the plane for its maiden flight.
Each entrant received a beautiful plaque and medallion. There was also a drawing for great kits and other RC products—and I walked away with a Bruce Tharpe Engineering Flyin' King kit. Will this kit be my next WBC entry? I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long before I begin to build it.
This gallery is best viewed on a PC or laptop. Most of the images are 1400 pixels wide—although you can view scaled-down images on small monitors, phones, and tablets.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
The images were taken with a Canon Rebel T3i. I used a Canon EF 100mm macro lenses for the images. All images received simple processing in Photoshop and were saved as low-resolution JPEG images that were optimized for the Web.
