Starting with an image taken of the alpenglow at Hurricane Ridge, Olympic National Park, Washington, "Favorites" is a collection of images from several geographical areas. There are images of a beaver dam, glaciers, mountain cabin, and wildlife from Cordova, Alaska. "Favorites" includes an image of the seashore at Fort Worden State Park, Washington. The Trillium images were taken in Belfair, Washington. Other images were taken from a favorite astro-imageing site near Prineville, Oregon. The last of the images, an old wagon wheel, was taken in Mariposa, California.
Some of the images are composites of two or more images. "Trillium Composite" was constructed from 5 separate images and shows trillium growth from early, pure white to crimson maturity. "Licorice" is a composite image consisting of Licorice, a black Labrador Retriever, and a river scene, both taken at the Alaganik Slough Recreation Site, Cordova, Alaska. "Sunflower Galaxy" required specialized software for CCD image processing and is a composite of multiple images taken over five hours.
I hope you enjoy this collection of images. The images were taken over several years and have continued to be among my favorites.
